Let me start out by saying all of you who do the BFC are rock stars in my book! Last week I did the BFC for maybe a day and a half, then my daughter got sick and I ate whatever I could find to eat. Trying to eat low sugar and tracking what I was eating was far down my list of priorities. Then I was sick for 2 days. After being ill my weight was down 5 pounds, but I knew that would be temporary. It has since leveled out to a weight loss I'm still excited about in week 20 of my weight loss journey. I weighed in this morning and lost 3 pounds for the week!I made one big change this week and I think my weight loss reflected that change, drinking MonaVie RVL shakes. Instead of my normal breakfast I substituted this shake, sometimes made with just water and ice, sometimes with fruit, and/or a little nut butter. Since it provided the antioxidant power of more than 10 servings of fruits and vegetables, or for some other reason, they satisfied my hunger for hours. I think I ended up eating less as a result. I think I'll continue this habit for a while and see where it takes me.
This week I'm also going to add exercise back in to the healthy mix, starting this morning by training with my personal trainer. I need to get the fire back for weight loss and working out! This video really motivated me. I hope it helps you too.

She has some incredible ideas to get motivated and to be successful.Today's writing was amazing.
I am going to Zumba today and I plan to start adding other things into my workouts. 1 day at a time!
I'm sorry you were sick:(
Thanks for the blog info...great blog. I loved her advice and so spot on! I'm sure you see much of your success in her advice. I probably need to do a vision board. I guess I'll put that on my long to do list.
DeleteI love that your doing Zumba. That's awesome! 1 day at a time is the only way. Best of luck to you.
Congratulations on the weight loss and to getting yourself back on track. :)
ReplyDeletehi Cat, Sorry you were not feeling well and don't feel bad about not being able to stick with the BFC. There is a lot of people who cannot for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI used to drink MonaVie a long time ago, but that powder has 29 carbs and 7 sugars per scoop and doesn't really fit in the BFC. Too bad cause I would have liked to try it.
Have a great day :-)
Glad to hear you are continuing to get back on track and mixing it up - I'm always a slow adapter, and it takes me far too long to change what's not working. I love that you post videos but I never watch them (I watched your vlog though) because I don't usually have time. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteCat, congrats on losing three pounds - that's awesome!! I was watching a video of Jennifer Hudson on Dr. Oz and she said she just does 25 reps of just three different exercise in the morning and also jumps rope. Now that's something I might be able to do!
ReplyDeleteBeth, you should do it. You'll probably be surprised at the results. I think the mental results of exercise are amazing. Consistency is far more important than duration in my opinion too! Thanks for supporting me. :)
DeleteYeah for the 3 lbs. that's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt feels good to get focused again...I know.
My big mix for the day will be the new recipe I'm going to try :)
You should post it if you like it. I'd love to try it out.
DeleteLove the stories. Motivation is key when trying to lose weight. And Zumba "what a workout" you really work up a sweat. I am excited because I got a new DVD Zumba Set. I started after seeing some great zumba reviews. I feel great and have so much more energy.
