Happy Thanksgiving! It's Just One Day.

Today I was feeling a little anxious and stressed, and it occurred to me I haven't exercised since Monday!  I decided to go for a walk/run, then push ups, squats, abs, and stretching.  Immediately I felt relaxed and ready for the rest of the day, a.k.a. Thanksgiving dinner.  I went a little crazy eating dinner, but you know what?  I don't feel guilty at all. None. Zilch. Nada. Really, it's just one day, one meal. Now immediately back to healthy eating.  No snacking tonight and lots of H2O to help with excess restaurant sodium. Then in the morning I'll continue living a healthy lifestyle with nutritious food and healthy exercise.

On a personal note life has been difficult, but I'm pushing on towards the goal.  God has a way of working things out and I'm trusting Him on this one.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Tell me:

Do you throw all caution to the wind and allow treats on Thanksgiving or do you maintain a strict healthy eating plan even at Thanksgiving?

Take care & have a great Friday!

  1. Darling pic of you.
All caution...No,but I had a couple of bites of potatoes/stuffing. And I feel bloated this evening. My eating was off, but not crazy so. Hey, tomorrow's another day!

  2. I ate several bites of everything I wanted and didn't feel deprived.
Happy Thanksgiving, your pic is adorable

  3. What a fabulous pic of you! You look soooo skinny!!!!!! Im sorry to hear that things have been difficult for you. You are right though, God always has a way of getting us through it. YOur verse above by Helen Keller is so true. She was a wise woman for sure....all of her quotes are pretty inspiring.
I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving my friend!
    Love & Hugs to you!

  4. Hi Cat. Love the photo. You are right, it's just one day...Insert the day....Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter. They are all special days, but one meal on those days is not going to make the difference between success and failure. So get up the next day and carry on right? I'm sorry you are going through some rough times right now. Everyone has some cross to bear, and God doesn't give us more than we can handle. Sometimes I wish He didn't think I could handle so much! Take care and big hugs from me to you!

  5. Looking so pretty! I try to stay on my eating plan, with a few treats here and there. If I throw caution to the wind it inevitably bleeds into the days surrounding the holiday. I indulged a bit yesterday but not too badly.

  6. I love the photo, you look beautiful! The dark grey satin is the same as my holiday party dress!

For me I have to be SUPER strict for a diet to work. It has always been that way and the BFC has been the only one I could stick with. XOXO to you!

  7. Hey Kat you look so pretty in your picture that color looks really good on you. Glad you enjoyed your day and not felt guilty about it.

  8. Cat your picture is gorgeous and you look so happy! You're right about Thanksgiving being just "one day". I think we all weathered it fairly well and are prepared for the next challenge! I hope what ever rough patch your going thru right now will work out! We are here to support you!

  9. I m really impressed with this information. Thanks for the nice posting….
