What I Ate Or Didn't Eat Wednesday

My life has been a little or maybe a lot CAH-razy running back and forth to Warrenton, managing our household, working out and caring for my silly kiddos.  I just have to make time for What I Ate Wednesday; it's just the best! I love making the post, and gathering inspiration from everyone else!

silly kiddos ;)

Super Yummy! breakfast on the run.  I've tried several flavors, but this one is my fave so far!
Normally I pack my lunch, but I didn't today.  Didn't have time to eat until about 3:30, so I stopped by the local Hardees' and grabbed tea and chicken fingers.  Not the healthiest lunch, but at this fast food stop it could've been so much worse!

Super Simple Dinner:  baked chicken and broccoli with butter.

Now for the best part of the day, what I DID NOT eat.  It feels fabulous NOT eating unhealthy food, very empowering indeed.  I stopped in a convenience store to purchase the local paper and look what I found:

I've learned when I don't eat good balanced nutrition I'll crave refined, fluffy, fat laden food!

I'm working in Warrenton again on Friday and won't get a lunch break, so I'm going to make sure to pack a nutritious lunch.  Lately I'm finding junk food and late night eating creeping back into my life on a regular basis.  I can't continue along this path and expect to achieve my goals, so I've decided for the next 14 days to forgo junk food and late night eating.

Well that's my crazy life.  No workout today, but I'm meeting with my trainer in the morning.

Tell me:

What unhealthy food or habit is creeping back into your life?  Are you ready to correct it?

O.K. everybody, since I'm starting a No Junk Food And No Late Night Eating Challenge, I thought I'd opened it up to you as well.  It will make it easier and fun to do together.  Just think how clear and radiant your skin will look at that holiday party or how great you'll look in your little black dress!  Who's with me?

Goodnight friends.

  1. Great post, good job resisiting the fatty sugary tempations. I have noticed that the attitude "I deserve this & I don't want to miss out" I creeping back in and make me think it's ok to have bites here and there. Sometimes I just need to remember why I want to be healthy and to fit into my skinny jeans. Have a great day :)

  2. I never eat late at night, but for some reason today...it could have been all the sugar and carbs that I splurged on...I ate 3 pieces of bacon and some potato chips at 8:00PM. It was the only thing that sounded good that didn't have sugar:)
Bad K! Good luck and you can do it!

  3. I think I'm going to limit myself to ONE bite of dessert for the next 14 days. I completely fasted dessert the 7 days before Thanksgiving, and then I kind went overboard. I need to find that place of moderation. That will be my focus for the next 14 days!

  4. I use to love surgery foods until I recently started eating fresh fruits and vegetables and the sweet cravings are gone. When I eat a full breakfast in the morning and small meals throughout the day my metabolism keeps going. This makes me burn more fat and I don't overeat.

  5. I'm the same way with eating and craving... when i'm missing nutrients I want something sweet or fatty to fill in the blanks for some reason. poptarts are my downfall and cannot come into my house. even when I read the icky label I can still fall victim to their call sometimes. no bueno! hehe

happy wiaw! so glad you joined us!

  7. Isn't it challenging going into a convenience store. It's so hard to find anything other than a cheese stick to eat. It's hard to find good, healthy food when you are out. I think you did a great job. Luckily I'm not a big late night eater, but I do like my wine at night.

  8. I think you did pretty darned good with your eating today. I agree, convenience stores are just loaded to the ceiling with unhealthy processed foods. Yuck! If you cant pronounce it, you shouldnt eat it.

  9. Best wishes on all your goals-
I've given up late night eating...
    I've give up junk food...
The bad habit that is creeping up-is not exercising this last few weeks. If feeling anxious was cardio-I would have mine in. ...this too will pass.
    Take Care

  10. Great job on resisting the junk food. I know how easy it can be to grab junk when you are hungry and it is everywhere we go. My bad habit lately is not getting my butt to the gym to workout.
